Susanna (Joanna Foote) and Figaro (Richard Ollarsaba) were most charming as the central pair. Foote’s voice, silvery and sweet, shone out in the many tricky ensemble passages and yet was also well-suited to her languid last-act aria. She also played the feisty Susanna to the tee, being the agent through which the whole plot really turns.

Joanna Foote as Susanna created a multi layered character who exuded confidence as through she were born to the role. When she was on stage, she seemed to galvanize the rest of the cast, singing with a captivating freshness and liveliness.
— John Daly-Peoples, New Zealand Arts Review
Certainly Joanna Foote’s Susanna was as sweet as strawberry shortcake, a delight on the ear and eye.
— Clare Martin, Classical Chromatics
....Joanna Foote’s Susanna, is as fetching in the snap of recitative as in her heart-melting final aria.
